A guy walks into a bar, and notices on the other side of the room a tiny man playing piano: he's only a foot tall. He says to the bartender, "hey, what's the story with that guy?" The bartender says, "let's just say there was a genie, there was a misunderstanding, and I ended up with a twelve inch pianist."

For our May event, we get to draw the fabulous men of The Bare Chest Calendar!

Since 1985, The Bare Chest Calendar and Team BCC exist for one purpose - to raise vital funds that support the missions of their beneficiary, the Positive Resource Center and its programs.

The PRC's mission is to help people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental health issues, better realize opportunities by providing integrated legal, social, and health services that address the broad range of social risk factors that impact wellness and limit potential.

So all proceeds from this event will be going towards Team BCC, which will allow us sketchers to draw a large group of men of all different shapes, sizes, ages, backgrounds, in a variety of stages of dress/undress/kink!

Since 2005, Dr. Sketchy's has been the name in alternative drawing. From illegal flashmobs to the Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Sketchy's has brought artists a rule-breaking cocktail of dames, drinking and drawing. Dr. Sketchy's branches draw in over a hundred cities around the globe, from Akron to Zagreb. Whether you're an artstar or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy's is the perfect place to get your fill of life-drawing.

In San Francisco, we have a strong commitment to community. We believe that making art is about finding a great place to practice, with a community of like-minded folks. We celebrate our sometimes indescribable and important local culture. We get excited about our models and we hope that our excitement inspires the artists who attend.

Watch and listen:

Featuring members of Success, Shell Corporation, Time Again and Madcap, The Drowns is a new band that seemingly came out of nowhere. Expect to hear ten street punk jams of the highly melodic variety. Think Red City Radio meets Bouncing Souls and... well, the other bands these guys still play or have played in. While being ridiculously catchy at times, they still pack plenty of grit that can peel the bark off of a tree.

The Bay Area. There might not be gold in them thar hills anymore, but there is never a shortage of great bands. From Dead Kennedys to No Use For a Name and everything in between, it's constantly producing gold. Civil War Rust is the newest shiny nugget offered up. They are a unique combination of catchy, clever, efficient and self deprecating. Playing fun songs with substance is something Civil War Rust has been doing since day one, and their live shows show why they have been melting the frosty hearts of punk rockers since the turn of the decade

The Hammerbombs offer less than inspiring tunes about broken hearts and downing sudsy cold ones. File under "punk".

Watch and listen:

This is not your Grandparents' folk music. The Bridge City Sinners take folk songs in the direction of a punk rocker. A rowdy folksy mosaic of banjo, violin, guitar, upright bass, ukulele and saw. The Sinners started their journey as a rotating cast of friends in 2016 who just wanted to play music on the streets "busk" in Portland, Oregon. They have transitioned into a powerful force playing festivals in 2018 such as Vans Warped Tour, NW String Summit, the Fest, & Seattle Folklife Festival.

Wayfairy started with a banjo on the turnpike and has grown into a six piece music project that fills the sonic space between mournful folk and riotous punk. Originally the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Quiver Watts, the project's first songs were written to pass the time while waiting for rides between towns while along the route of the Keystone Pipeline documenting resistance to extraction and imperialism. Since then Wayfairy has grown into a collective project that blends accordion (Jordan Stern), banjo, violin (Mega Bloom and Ari Cowan), washboard (Jazmine Davis) and upright bass (Blue Goldberg) with soft vocal harmonies, punctuated by raw wails. Wayfairy's lyrics are decidedly queer/feminist, anti-state, anti-fascist and through our music we hope to contribute to a growing movement for liberation

Off stage, bass music aficionado Vincent (aka Robert Hughes) looks like he could be just about any young Canadian: happy go lucky, barely legal, and bespectacled, outfitted with a Winnipeg Jets jersey and wave of brown hair. On stage, he flaps around maniacally behind his rig and there's no doubt about who he is: mega producer, sound creator, and energy maker who has just embarked on his first headlining tour this year. Hard trap drops mix with delightful rhythms in both his originals and critically acclaimed remixes, and his EP "For You" reads like a damn chronicle of love and heartbreak. It's easy for EDM fans of all stripes to fall in love with Vincent, and don't count out the pop and hiphop fans either - Vincent calls on those influences often. The DJ/producer only recently changed to this stage name, ditching the virtually ungooglable monker XVII in favor of the slightly more search friendly Vincent which happens to be his real middle name. Live, be prepared for non-stop energy because Vincent has already proclaimed his mantra for the forseeable future: less bops, more slaps.

Ben Gold has forged a formidable reputation as one of the most innovative, accomplished and prolific producers in the trance scene today. May 2018 saw Ben Gold lay down the most significant marker in his career to date with the release of his eagerly anticipated debut artist album 'Sound Advice Chapter 1' on Armada Music. In 2016 his track 'I'm In A State of Trance' was voted by an audience of millions on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance radio show as the official anthem for the Asot 750 landmark events, making it one of the biggest hits of the year, racking up over 2.5 million Spotify plays to date.

Originating from the early Nineties Rave scene, and known for his pioneering sound encapsulating a broad range of musical influences, Al Storm (amongst his many aliases), has amassed an extensive and highly eclectic production and remix biography over the last 25 years, covering almost every shade of the dance music spectrum. The list of artists he's collaborated with, engineered for, or who have employed him to officially remix their work, is as varied as his discography. The likes of The Prodigy, Xilent, Cascada, Liquid, Kutski & Dizzee Rascal, through to Rave Originators, Ellis Dee, DJ Rap, Ratpack, Slipmatt & DJ Seduction are just a few of the headline acts with whom he has worked. In 2009 he signed to the iconic 'Raver Baby' label, cementing his status in Hardcore history, and shortly after he won a much coveted 'Hardcore Heaven Award' at Westfest in recognition of his work. In 2018, the artist formerly known as Deadman, has now killed off all of his other aliases to work solely under the 'Al Storm' moniker. Under the management and guidance of Technique for his D&B productions, you can expect a heavy onslaught of his unique, Jungle & Classic Rave edged take on Drum & Bass tearing up raves & festivals around the globe.
