Mess is what happens when UK punk bands from 1982 influence a bunch of Punk/Oi musicians from the streets of Guadalajara, Mexico. Mess sing in English, their energy and talent is undeniable and they've mastered that adrenaline-charged fists-up singalong style.

Fang has been an influential hardcore punk band since their debut album was released in 1982. This legendary Berkeley band has had their songs covered by Metallica, Green Day, Butthole Surfers and more.

Bullshit Detector proudly bill themselves as an antiracist Texas Oi band who makes dark music for dark times. Their sound is reminiscent of older non-British European Oi with a brutal touch of early American hardcore.

Crash Fest was started years ago as a birthday party by 2 punk and Oi! loving best friends! Since then, Mike and Chris have brought Crash Fest to various cities and showcased the best of Punk music. Their motto is to bring you up and coming and established bands from around the world and to respect the fans.

The Vancouver based street punk band Bishops Green was formed in spring of 2011. Bishops Green's music is raw and energetic with a style firmly embedded in the historic roots of street punk and Oi!. All of the members of Bishops Green have been playing in bands together since the '90s and this history, combined with the groups ability to draw from different punk genres, enables the creation of a catchy sing-along sound that will make sure that any audience feels like they are part of the show!

Anti-Heros are an Original American OI! and street punk band formed in Georgia in the 80s and this will be their first show EVER in SF!

Established in February of 1983 in North East Los Angeles, Doug & The Slugz became one of the very first Oi! bands on the west coast United States inspired by the big UK bands of the time.

When Artillery formed in the small Copenhagen suburb of Taastrup in 1982, little did they know they'd be here alive, vibrant, and ready to destroy in 2024. Sure, they've had their share of ups and downs-the but Artillery have survived. They were there when thrash metal took off. They were around to see the emergence of death metal. And they're here today, to make their mark on a whole new generation of metalhead. Artillery's highly energetic, riff-centric and often fast-paced music helped define thrash metal as we know it.

Vapor represents the greater Bay Area with a powerhouse mix of thrash, death, and speed metal combined with a newer kind of vocal and drumming. Their musicianship, uniqueness, and dedication make for awesome riffs, crushing lyrics, and explosive live shows since 2004!

Rivetskull come from Seattle to deliver classic heavy metal punctuated with poignant lyrics.Their songs tell of the human experience, exploring the highs and lows, and triumphs and tribulations that define life's journey, inviting listeners to connect with the raw and visceral aspects of existence.

Potential Threat have been banging heads in the Bay Area Thrash scene since 1986, They've shared stages with the best of the genre such as Testament, Slayer, Cro-Mags, and Nuclear Assault to name a few. And to add to their Bay Area Thrash cred, they share bassist Damien Sisson with Death Angel. Their sound is loud, unapologetic, aggressive and in your face.

Known worldwide for his day job, the drummer of Bay Area Thrash legends Death Angel, DJ Bleeding Priest (Will Carroll) will be playing his fav tracks from his extensive Metal vinyl collection before, between and after the bands.

Right after doors, Ego Likeness co-founder and singer Donna Lynch (Baltimore MD) reads from her collections of horror & true crime shorts & poetry, including the Bram Stoker Award-nominated works "Choking Back the Devil" and "Girls From the County". Goners UK’s brand of progressive punk questions the daily bullshit and how it adds up to a humane and political nightmare. This Montana quintet delivers their message courtesy of fast paced, heavy handed, no-bullshit punk rock.

Brigata Vendetta are a new force to be reckoned with in the famed Bay Area punk rock scene, but the three members are anything but newcomers! Frontman & bassist Darrel Wojick and guitarist Mike Caputo of Harrington Saints are joined by Bum City Saints drummer Brian Zobel. Together, these three "saints" are crafting a brand new sound informed by classic hardcore punk that stands poised to surprise and excite longtime fans and new ones alike!

A Skylit Drive is a post-hardcore band from Lodi, Ca. Their music combines pop-leaning emo influences with the harder sounds of metal core and screams. They were in 2005 when the members were still in high school. They are touring in celebration of the 15th anniversary of their landmark album, Adelphia.

Silent Theory is a rock band, formed in 2010 in Idaho. The band has released 3 studio albums and gained fame for their single Fragile Minds, which was a radio hit and garnered over one million views on YouTube. They have solidified their fan base the old fashioned way: through heavy riffs, catchy melodies, impactful lyrics, and an energetic live show.

Kvbrick Stare is a modern metalcore band based in California's Bay Area. They bring a boundless energy to the metal genre, including a multitude of different flavors ranging from adrenaline inducing breakdowns to fist pumping choruses.

Gorgatron's sound is based on a "love of the riff" approach to writing and rooted in the old-school stylings of Death Metal and Thrash. Gorgatron is brutal, but not oppressively heavy -- their riffs and songs are given room to breathe and space to swing. They can blast, but they spend much of their time operating at a bulldozer midtempo.

Casket Robbery are a 5 piece Death Metal band from Wisconsin. Lyrically, Casket Robbery gives you exactly what you want from a band named Casket Robbery. Their songs tell tales that are dark, brutal, and violent. Every member is a master at their instrument but their secret weapon lies in vocalist Megan Orvold-Sheider, simply one of the best death metal vocalists out there.

Voraath are a Sci-fi horror-inspired extreme metal band from the Carolinas. Their songs form a metal musical taking the listener on an otherworldly and experimental adventure. Newest member, vocalist Chelsea Marrow, has expanded their aural soundscapes to greater heights with her blood curdling screams.

SF Game Development is excited to announce that Eric Monacelli will be flying to San Francisco to speak about his experience as an Executive Producer at Marvel Games. This is a very special event and we can't wait to welcome Eric to our community.

A video game is a virtual world populated with carefully curated digital artifacts. By telling stories about these digital artifacts a game may become a brand, a digital, cultural artifact onto itself. Every brand is vying for our attention. We are told or tell ourselves stories about brands every day that demand we listen, look, act, feel, ignore, or dismiss. Ultimately, we all build our own personal brand world. We then live in these imaginary brand worlds of our creation. They are worlds we choose to inhabit. How do we thoughtfully curate those brand worlds? How do, or how can, brands connect with these worlds to show the worthiness of their brand within that space? What makes us elect to occupy those worlds and give anything our attention?

Speakers will go on stage at 7:00pm. This event is open to the public and is a professional networking event for game developers, artists, students, indies, or really anyone interested in game development.

Secret Mutilator is a stripped down electro-punk outfit from Los Angeles. Their sound takes circuit-bent synthesizers blended over heavy drums, tape-effects and glitch-noise. The result is an aggressive and experimental version of electronic body music that has been called Minimal Synth Maximum Punk!

Last Night of Solace is an upcoming metalcore band thats been making waves in Texas with their raw energy and heartfelt songs. Their newest single "Fractured" features guest vocals from Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn. Last Night of Solace is metal core at its best, lots of powerful vocals, melodic riffs, and tight rhythm.

Fatalist was formerly known as Fate Destroyed. They are a female fronted Los Angeles based group breaking new ground with a fierce fresh take on the metal status quo. Their sound meshes the heart pounding breakdowns of metalcore with the gritty electronic texture and bounce of modern trap. Their unique sound and stage presence has catapulted them to playing some of the biggest festivals in the US, including Blueridge Rock Festival, Rebel Rock, Metal In the Mountains, and lnkcarcertaion.

HellHeart is a melodic metal band from the Central Valley of California. Since 2017, HellHeart has been pounding out a unique brand of heavy music, combining elements of Metal, Metalcore, Thrash and Hardcore to create a unique and aggressive sound.

Submissions come from a wide range of participants, from professional performers to total amateurs . All in the noble pursuit of self-degradation. Share the shame.

Zesta Grande 2 is the long awaited, second installment of the West Coast powerviolence and hardcore festival. Playing the fest this year are numerous bands from Japan and Germany, some of which have never played in the United States. After 4 long years, Zesta Grande has returned bigger and faster than before!

Fuck On The Beach has been a prominent figure in the Japanese powerviolence scene from the mid-1990s to the present. They first gained international recognition with their many releases on legendary label Slap-A-Ham Records and published multiple albums by the Tokyo-based band. They are known widely for their tongue-in-cheek humor, adrenaline inducing enthusiasm on stage, and their fast paced songs.

The group once known as Noukasuitai, was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1991. In late 1993, they changed their name to Slight Slappers. In July 1995, they released a split with Capitalist Casualties leading to widespread critical acclaim among fans of the Powerviolence genre.

Originating from Burbank, California, Lack of Interest has been a staple of the Powerviolence since the band's formation in 1990. They are known for their distinct sound and vocal style. Their influence has made a lasting impact on the genre and this can be heard in many contemporary acts today. After almost 10 years, the band returns to make their final Bay Area performance.

Yacøpsæ is a German Powerviolence band formed in 1990. They emerged out of the Hamburg squatter punk scene and have been active ever since. Their fan base has a strong presence in the United States, Europe, as well as abroad.

Secret Psychedelica presents its fourth annual Cancer party on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. Continuing the annual tradition, the evening will feature producers and DJs born under the fourth sign of the zodiac. This custom came to the DNA Lounge back in July of 2019 when Pisces Music presented a Piece of Psy, an unofficial Cancer party that featured Sentinel 7 of TesseracTstudio. Now, after a hiatus in the music industry, Sentinel 7 returns to the City for the first time in 5 years to unleash his brand of high energy psytrance upon the dance floor accompanied by a collection of Cancerian DJs!

As you may or may not already know, Sentinel 7 is none other than renowned US trance producer, Evan Pearce. Evan's debut electronic music project, Tangle, began in 2012 with three top 10 singles and countless top 20 tracks in the tech trance and uplifting trance genres. He would go on to perform at major events around the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, the Vertigo Club in Malaysia, and Es Paradis in Ibiza. In 2017, Evan decided to shift his focus to the more full on frequencies of psytrance and thus, Sentinel 7 was born. Since then, Evan has gone on to dominate the psytrance scene with his unique productions that span not only the aggressive full on sounds of psychedelic trance but also the more inviting grooves of progressive psy. High profile labels such as Perfecto Fluoro, United Beats Records, and Pharmacy Music took notice and have been pumping out his tracks to eager fans.

Joining Secret Psychedelica's Cancer lineup for the first time will be the Chilluminati's Chicago ambassador, Amarok. Another Cancer artist who's path started outside of psytrance, Amarok began as an electro and drum & bass producer in 2006. And similar to Sentinel 7, Amarok decided to follow a path towards psychedelic trance and teamed up with Kenny Sefton in 2014 to produce tunes as the duo, Future Sight. As time moved on, Amarok began to DJ more frequently and now spends the majority of his days organizing psytrance gatherings. His mission, to create positive moments for people to experience whether it be through his specialized psytrance sets or from his carefully curated parties. Let's give a warm welcome to Amarok for his San Francisco debut performance.

As with past Cancer parties, the night will begin with a slightly different vibration than the standard Secret Psychedelica nights. DJ Luv-Le of Fraktured SF and Goddy from We Push Play will get things warmed up with psy-adjacent beats. Goddy, one of the Bay Area's hardest working DJs, makes his way back from last year's Cancer lineup to deliver the progressive goodness while hometown Queen of Broken Beats, DJ Luv-Le, will deliver a special psy-breaks set that's sure to light things up. And of course, Secret Psychedelica residents Synwrks and Michael Liu will be on hand to carve out the remaining time in the psytrance room.

In the second room, Dirtybeats comes back from the Cancer 2022 lineup and has called up a full cast of Cancerian DJs to represent South Bay's premiere event production team and record label, Deep Legends. The dubstep and drum & bass roster includes Low the Ghost, Lolly, Solacesoundz, NK Ultra, and Deep Legends head honcho, Dirtybeats. The group will surely get the dance floor shaking with their strategically blended 2-step rhythms and bass-heavy loops.

Matte Blvck is an electronic group out of San Diego CA. Producing sounds of sinister pleasures, visual arts and mechanical tinged dance music. Their debut record was mostly written during the global-wide shutdown due to Covid-19, and has spawned an introverted yet relatable sound. An album created in isolation touching on topics such as pain, panic and suffering yet conceiving a light at the end of the tunnel. Hence the title of the Album, "I'm Waving, Not Drowning".

So Much Blood (aka Bryan Clearside) is a Detroit bred, Los Angeles based electronic artist and producer. SMB draws his influences from his hometown of Detroit's historic electronic underground as well as the modern Los Angeles death beat scene. He started making music at the age of 13 in his bedroom recording obscure sounds to a 4-track portastudio. So Much Blood comes laced with abstract visual vignettes that help set the tone for the dense and brooding instrumental tracks. Defining his sound with a bold blend of cinematic landscapes,analog synth and apocolyptic drum beats. The music comes filled with emotion and flashes of holographic beauty.

Vague Lanes: Driven by a gritty drum machine attack somewhat akin to Godflesh this duo juxtapose round melodic 6 string bass, coldwave synth swathes and driving post-punk 4 string bass work. Lyrically and vocally the band sheds abstract light on darker, more melancholic, subjects as dementia, alcoholism, depression, and the controversies surrounding Catholicism.

Octavian Winters was born into the ghostly isolation of San Francisco in 2022, during the third winter of the pandemic.Their visceral and ethereal sound is a texture all its own -- of stories once told but half-remembered, under a dusk of shadows and stars, in an abandoned city under the winter moon.

Halou performs dark music for dim lighting. The husband/wife duo began releasing tracks from their bedroom studio in the suburbs of San Francisco in 1997. For years, their albums gained critical acclaim and featured the likes of Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie while their tours saw them play all the major festivals and a US tour with Bob Mould. The band took a 13 year hiatus and is now back and more creative than ever, expanding their lush sound and embracing an ever growing fanbase who create fan made anime style videos to their songs.

Sword Tongue is an emerging dark wave/alt rock band whose music blends trip hop, industrial, and progressive rock reminiscent of the 90s alternative scene. They take the listener on an intense, skillfully woven sonic voyage that does not let up from start to finish. Their signature alluring vocals and mesmerizing guitar tones are married with hard hitting drum lines and dark, crunchy percussive textures that increase the intensity and urgency. Sword Tongue truly creates dark music for dark times.

Llynks is a songwriter, producer, and singer whose haunting and introspective lyrics explore themes of empowerment and self preservation. Although taking inspiration from both fantastical and sci-fi worlds, Llynks' lyrics are reflective of her life experience and delivered with a powerful voice that manifests as a portal to her soul. She has been gaining followers with her latest single 'Body Burn', a collaboration between Llynks and Alex on the label NewRetroWave. The song explores the navigation of a queer relationship where the depths of feeling were so deep and intense that they manifested into a burning sensation inside the body.

A Million Miles Away is a band of four seasoned, dedicated artists whose passion for creating beautiful music is a rarity nowadays and something truly special in this saturated world of technology. Their sound haunts back to the 80's dark-wave era, when the underground culture celebrated raw talent--when technology was a flavor and not the soul structure in songwriting, art and performances. Their signature style is of the post-punk era, masterfully combined with strong poetic lyrics that dwell in the human condition.

Los Angeles electro-pop duo Able Machines started when singer/songwriter/actress Tay Côlieé connected with like-minded songwriter/producer Linus Dotson after both floating in the same musical circles, producing and writing for other pop artists. They instantly clicked and started recording songs and directing their own music videos. They burst onto the music scene in 2019 with their first single "Secrets and Lies", setting the blueprint of their unique sound - coupling (often) dark lyrical imagery with concise pop hooks and melodies over electronic soundscapes.

From the moment they debuted 25 years ago, Louisiana miscreants Goatwhore explored old school satanic black metal as no American act had before. The band's flame-throwing ferocity and blasphemous conviction hailed such pioneers as Bathory and Venom and offered respite to purists grown weary of the fanciful, over-orchestrated musings of Europe's contemporary black metallurgists. A Goatwhore album is the kind of thing your parents discover in your room as a teen, and then immediately throw it in the trash while loudly questioning your life choices.

Vitriol is a death metal band hailing from Portland, Oregon. They gained notoriety from playing a very sophisticated yet brutally intense style of angry, unrelenting dissonant death metal. Their latest album, Suffer & Become, shows immense musical growth from their previous releases. No longer content with just rage, now the bands music and more importantly lyrics, offer a healthy dose of perspective and nuance. The result of which makes Vitriol even heaver than before!

Thantifaxath is Canadian black metal at its best. Its hooded members have remained anonymous since its inception. Musically, they pummel the listener with lurching riffs and escalating guitar scales while pounding percussion brings songs to the point of unbearable tension. The band is noted for its ability of elevating the art of black metal with solid recordings and far more expansive instrumentation that any other black metal act touring today. Thantifaxath make harmonically frightening music that turns anxiety into an art.

Hellhunter is a Bay Area blackened thrash outfit made up of seasoned metal veterans from the San Francisco metal scene. Their current lineup features Death Angels' Will Carroll pounding the skins. Their live shows are legendary, get there early for a full night of N.W.O.B.H.M. inspired mayhem!

Black Tusk was born from sweat. There was blood, and maybe a few tears, too, but more than anything, it was sweat that marked the earliest years of Savannah, Georgia's Black Tusk. Formed in 2005 by three lifelong friends the band welded together what they called "swamp metal." Over the course of 6 albums, the Savannah sludge lords have been growing and reinventing themselves along the way. Their new sound is darker, heavier and more intense. The latest Black Tusk album features an overarching theme of pushing forward and prevailing against the odds, and they convey this message alongside heavy, crushing rhythms.

Horseburner are a stoner metal band based out of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Forming in 2008, this Appalachia quartet blends elements of sludge, heavy metal and riff-driven rock and roll to compose a sound shaped by a foundation of Diy ethic, gritty production, fuzzy riffs and burly vocals.

Drawn out of a unique, creative vision and driven by a deep passion for all things heavy, Somnuri aren't your typical Brooklyn sludge metal band. They aren't afraid to break the sludge mold when it comes to their breakneck energy, infectious melodies and slow-burning aggression. Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden come metal gods Dark Tranquillity. Dark Tranquillity is know as being one of the key pioneers that has made melodic death metal what it is today. Started in 1989 and having featured members such as Anders Fridén (In Flames) and Daniel Antonsson (Soilwork) Dark Tranquillity is seen as one of the longest-standing death metal bands in existence. With brutally crushing vocals and guitars that harmonize to the perfect note every time, Dark Tranquillity never will tarnish their veteran death metal status.

Amorphis is derived from the Greek 'amorphous' which means without determinate form, shapeless, which is apropos for a band who started as death metal in 1990 and have evolved over the decades into playing other genres of metal including progressive and folk. Their latest album Halo continues to draw heavily on Finnish folklore, with references to Tuonela, the underworld realm of Finnish and Estonian mythology.

Fires In The Distance are a death metal/doom group who hail from Connecticut. Their complex songs combine wistful melodicism, crushingly heavy guitar work and intricate atmospherics. Lyrically their new album covers intensely personal ruminations on mental health and themes of existentialism in the form of mortality salience, without losing sight of the importance of perseverance. This is thinking mans metal and an odyssey in both artistic vision and sound.

Mortiis is hailed by most as one of the originators of Black Metal and the now greatly expanding Dungeon Synth genres. His releases are considered classics and highly sought out by the Metal and Dungeon Synth community. Mortiis was originally known for his work in Emperor but came into his own when he went solo, creating worlds, first with his eponymous Mortiis and later with Vond, Fata Morgana and Cintecele Diavolului. Over time, Mortiis has made sonic shifts from Black Metal, Dungeon Synth, Electro Pop and eventually cultivated an industrial/dance sound, leaving his past behind.

Brighter Death Now is the artist name under which Roger Karmanik, the founder of the Swedish record label Cold Meat Industry, releases death industrial, power electronics and dark ambient music.Whereas early Brighter Death Now recordings tended to be largely instrumental and atmospherically oriented, present-day releases often feature screamed vocals, distorted beyond comprehension. Throughout its history, Karmanik has kept his music's thematic elements focused on such topics as child molestation, sadism, and psychosis.

Coined as pastoral dungeon synth, Malfet's music takes the listener on a journey back in time. Quiet night insects give way to a dreamy Mellotron trance. This hypnotic elegance continues throughout, always bringing with it new underlying melodies that stick with the listener - making it quite difficult not to romanticize Arthurian era sprawling grasslands and forests as one struggles to meander through the haze of modern life.

Join us for a special screening of the Composers Cut of Lucio Fulcis' Zombie with a live score by original composer Fabio Frizzi

Composer, orchestrator and conductor, Fabio Frizzi has scored over one hundred soundtracks between cinema and television series. He has won numerous awards throughout his career and has followed in the footsteps of the masters of Italian cinema. A great lover of cinema, he combined his innate musicality with the magic of movie making from a young age. He studied piano and many other instruments, but his great companion of a lifetime is the classical guitar. In addition to composing for the movie industry, he composed the music of many TV series and variety shows for Italian television. He writes a lot for the theatre and considers the creation of his numerous ballets a feather in his cap. Frizzi has worked alongside many of the great Italian directors but he is famous amongst horror fans for his collaboration with the director Lucio Fulci, which lasted from 1975 to 1990. Of the many works Fulci and Frizzo collaborated on, Zombie is the most notorious. A true legendary cult film, Zombie still has horror aficionados raving about the notorious "splinter" scene and the epic battle battle between Zombie and Shark!

San Francisco scenemaker DJ Omar of Popscene fame has been keeping San Francisco on its dancing feet for the past decade. A DJ with an eclectic array of musical tastes and cultures, there's no predicting what comes next - anything from electro to goth to horror soundtracks.

A Split-Second is a Belgian new beat and electronic body music (EBM) band established in 1985. The band is considered one of the forerunners of Electronic Body Music, and their music influenced the creation of the New Beat genre. The band eventually switched to more industrial sounds incorporating the heavy use of synthesizers with distorted guitars and founder Marc Ickx's distinguished vocals. A Split-Second released multiple albums through the 80s and 90s until Ickx decided to retire in 1997. The retirement only lasted a few years and soon A Split-Second was yet again a force to be reckoned with on the live music scene playing festivals all over the world.

Klack makes Ebm and New Beat, of the old style. The duo manages to balance the bruising physicality of industrial with the varied melodies and synth textures that prevail in more accessible electronic music. Think stamping beats, staccato bass lines, eerie swooping melodies, and eccentric samples. As one of their songs proudly states, "The revolution will be brought to you by Korg, Roland, Waldorf, and Moog."

Fleshgod Apocalypse, more than most modern death metal bands, is incredibly divisive - and there's good reason for it. Thie latest release, "Agony" is an essentially constant barrage. If it's not 280 BPM+ double kick, its blast beats; if it's not tremolo picking, it's... probably still tremolo picking, all slathered with a synth orchestra and a truly has-to-be-heard-to-be-believed combination of death metal growls and "operatic" vocals. It generates the feeling of being thrown in a washing machine with one boombox blasting a piano concerto and the other blasting "Icon of Evil".

Shadow of Intent was formed in 2014 as an internet-based project between vocalist Ben Duerr and instrumentalist Chris Wiseman. The band released their first EP called Inferi Sententia and continued writing music for the future. By 2015 the band started releasing more songs and followed up with full length album Primordial in 2016 which rapidly started gaining traction. Over the next year as their follow-Up album was written, the lineup changed gears adding live members to perform in the music videos and eventual live shows. Now, Shadow of Intent are leaders in the deathcore and symphonic deathcore scene.

Since forming in May 2006, Ingested have developed a positive and worthy reputation in the worlds underground death metal scene, consistency releasing albums that gain the attention of the worldwide metal press. Their sound has developed with each release, whether pummeling listeners with double-bass rolls, blast-beats, and grinding rhythm; breaking it all down with jagged, staggered riffs, and piercing harmonics; or flooding the mix with rapid-fire bursts of minor key melodies, Ingested have continued to prove themselves to be at the front of the pack of the death metal scene.

It was in early 2012 that a small recording collaboration between two friends began to coalesce into something that would prove to be well more than the sum of its parts. The Zenith Passage may have come about from humble beginnings in a stuffy Los Angeles apartment, but the result is anything But humble. Even the earliest demo tracks delivered a relentless torrent of technical guitar work accompanied by a distinctly frenetic and brutal vocal delivery. Their sound has a thematic backbone that draws inspiration from the chaotic and awesome destructive powers of our universe. Progressive interludes invoke a palpable sense of abstract dread and reverence for things beyond mortal comprehension.

Disembodied Tyrant is a two piece Symphonic Progressive Deathcore band. Their sound ranges from fast technical riffage, slow and sludgey breakdowns, to uplifting orchestral compositions.

Based in Stockholm, Kite is a duo composed of singer Nicklas Stenemo, who grew up in the small town of Stenslanda and keyboard player Christian Berg who came from the even smaller town Tranås. After performing with various synth/indie outfits separately, they finally joined forces and started Kite. The opening track of their first EP, 'Ways to Dance', was an instant club hit in Sweden.

Johnny Tupolev, are a Wuppertal alternative rock band whose sound is a perfect synthesis made of hardcore riffs, stampeding machine beats and impulsive sequencer loops.They surprise with an astonishing fresh international sound created by British producer legend John Fryer, who is well known for his work with Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and White Zombie.

Halou performs dark music for dim lighting. The husband/wife duo began releasing tracks from their bedroom studio in the suburbs of San Francisco in 1997. For years, their albums gained critical acclaim and featured the likes of Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie while their tours saw them play all the major festivals and a US tour with Bob Mould. The band took a 13 year hiatus and is now back and more creative than ever, expanding their lush sound and embracing an ever growing fanbase who create fan made anime style videos to their songs.

FRTRSS - for·tress /ˈfôrtrəs/ {a castle or stronghold, a place of defense and protection against large-scale attacks} .... Also an exciting new synth wave duo creating irresistibly catchy songs.

Pig inhabits a genre of one. How to describe it? Start with KMFDM, since the unforgettable Englishman behind it, Raymond Watts, was a founder member. Once you have a certain combination of hard rock, soulful electro-pop and funk in your head, you can introduce Foetus' big band, blues and classical samples pounded into place by behemoth of machinery -- but while JG Thirlwell was a frequent collaborator and shaper of the early Pig sound, Pig zigs where Foetus zags. We could almost imagine the Pig sound at this point, were it not for the one thing that makes Pig truly unique. Pig makes rock like nobody else. Take the chunky, maddeningly memorable riffs from Metallica's Black Album, double them and in distill them into a pure and devastating form. Pig is a soufflé of scorching, searing squeals, pummeling percussion, eccentric electronics and pounding metal riffs with Raymond's voice ricocheting between delicious soulful croon and aggressive, snarling growl.

Curse Mackey is an industrial darkwave artist from Austin, Texas. His sound plunges the listener into the world of dark synth, post-punk, heavy electronic music, pushing the boundaries of genre with a vast dynamic range, from a tortured whisper to a triumphant howl.

Unitcode Machine is a project from Texas Native Eric Kristoffer. Following in the steps of other Texas electronic artists, Eric's style of electro-industrial takes from many inspirations to create a sound unique to the project. Ever changing, Unitcode:Machine's list of comparable projects changes from album to album. However, where Unitcode:Machine has truly stood out was in Kristoffer's vocals -- not only can he sing, but the muscularity and robustness of his tone is not often heard, even in the heavier sides of electro/industrial.

Electronica meets industrial with this one man band. Daniel Graves created Aesthetic Perfection at the dawn of the 21st century -- decades later, his vision is truer than ever, drawing on punk, pop, metal, and everything in between. Crafting sparse and dark songs to (what else) perfection, Graves hand makes every drum beat, every synth sound, and every lyric. There's some definite misfit sex appeal to Aesthetic Perfection, though it transcends all the temporal things like gender. Graves alternately yells and croons over his robotic compositions with a voice reminiscent of the best of the emo era, adding a catchy layer of singability to his already seamless tunes.

Live, Aesthetic Perfection adds a bass and drummer to fill out the sound and accompany Graves as he sings directly to the audience. Part Mindless Self Indulgence and part sexy Rob Halford, Graves has the mastered the ability to work every part of the stage. Serious industrial chops like Aesthetic Perfection needs to let loose every once in a while, so you can expect a fun cover (perhaps "Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals?) mixed in with the more somber rivet tracks. Dancing is an absolute must to Aesthetic Perfection's energetic live set, whether you choose to copy Graves' signature pogo or come up with a new, upbeat goth-sway of your own.

Led by the charismatic Martha Davis, the Motels were one of the most successful and acclaimed bands to emerge from the fertile Los Angeles new wave scene, reaching the Top Ten in 1982 with their biggest hit, "Only the Lonely". The band started their ascent to the top in 1979 with their self-titled debut LP, scoring a minor hit with the ballad "Total Control". The band skyrocketed to the pop stratosphere with the release of All Four One in 1982 featuring the hits "Only the Lonely", and "Take the L". They became household names and MTV superstars and their place in pop history was solidified with the release of "Suddenly Last Summer", from 1983's Little Robbers. The subsequent decades have seen Martha successfully battle breast cancer, weather numerous lineup changes and have a thriving solo career, yet she still returns to the stage as the Motels to bring her fans the songs that shaped the 80s.

Not merely a vehicle for manager Malcolm McLaren's button-pushing antics, and responsible for considerably more than a hit cover, Bow Wow Wow remain synonymous with new wave. The band exemplified their era with visual and sonic cultural appropriations ranging from Mohawk hairstyling to Burundi-style drumming, lyrics that swung from suggestive to explicit, and a gleefully bestial spirit embodied by teenage singer Annabella Lwin. Formed in 1980, the band had 2 UK top ten hits -- "Go Wild in the Country" and an update of the Strangeloves' "I Want Candy", the latter of which took the MTV generation in the US by storm. Though they only released 2 albums before they broke up, their place in pop history is undeniable.

Gene Loves Jezebel are a British alternative rock band formed by the Aston brothers in 1980. Through their tumultuous history, the band has charted numerous hit singles in the UK and developed a devoted fan base which soon expanded to the US. Though the media portrayed them as one of the dark gothic bands of the British alternative rock scene at the time, in reality, the group's members espoused a lighthearted innocence that was, dare we say, fun! They were neither introspective nor morose, in actuality they were the antithesis of the contemporary gothic movement.

The Krypters play Horror-Garage-Graveyard-Rock music! They hail from right here in SF and they promise to show you a spooktacular good time!

DJ Omar (Popscene) and DJ Callum McGowan (Alternative Decade) will be playing your favorite 80's hits and deep tracks before, between and after the bands.

Punk rock pioneers and provocateurs, the Dead Boys, may not be young anymore, but they're as loud and snotty as ever! Formed in Cleveland in 1976, the Dead Boys were one of the first American acts to combine the proto-punk fervor of bands like the Stooges and the New York Dolls with a new level of intense energy. The 1977 debut LP, Young, Loud and Snotty, was a landmark album in the birth of hardcore punk. Following the death of lead vocalist Stiv Bators in 1990, the band members went their separate ways except for two brief reunions in 2004 and 2005. The return of the Dead Boys began with guitarist Cheetah Chrome's dedication to pay tribute and do justice to the original material with a killer line-Up celebrating landmark songs in punk rock history.

Brewed in Oakland since 2019, Nixed is a fierce fusion of classic punk, hardcore and streetpunk, brought to you by a group of seasoned veterans hailing from different corners of the underground scene. They deliver raw, in-your-face punk rock that is a sonic charge to the senses.

SF based Radio Revolt specialize in high energy, drum heavy, rock 'n' roll with an occasional punk rock spasm to confuse and titillate the listener.
