Dark dub duo BloodThinnerz
(Los Angeles' Ernest Melendez and Kevin Freire) are keeping things heavy in the EDM world - the heaviness is less surprising when you realize the duo has a history with metal. Rarely do you find dubstep tracks that are gory and creepy, but BloodThinnerz makes that their bread and butter. The duo's music, including latest release "Gravedigger," features fast drops, menacing intros, and vocal samples that might make you look over your shoulder. BloodThinnerz have been friends since sixth grade, which explains their synchronicity and energy on stage: they riff off each other like true bros. When they aren't reppin' LA with Dodgers gear and flipping the bird, BloodThinnerz plays an aggravated live set touching on riddim and dubstep and everything in between.
Long Island's Matt Coddington is Codd Dubz
is a DJ/Producer steeped in both metal and hiphop. Dark imagery (think zombies and blood) and technical precision make Codd Dubz' sounds a feat for fans of heavier, darker dubstep. Just don't pigeon hole him as a purely riddim sound designer. As a self-described basement dweller, Codd Dubz takes special interest in bringing all the underground EDM sounds to the masses - touring all over the US, and even Australia. Live, he shines chopping it up on the turntables. Codd Dubz also adds his flair to remixes and collabs, recently working with Chibs, Ivory & Yakz, and Crowell to name a few.
