The combination of dreamy minor harmonies, Ambient, Pop and Electro Dance fused together with the elegance of the 4AD label, made Clan of Xymox
a rare event in the independent wave scene of the 80s. Both the albums "Clan of Xymox"
are rightfully regarded as classic releases that have lost none of their fascination Since their inception in 1981, their music has been constantly evolving, sometimes challenging but always breathtaking. Xymox are something special. A band fired by electronic music but determined to always make something with feeling that will make you swoon.
Fronted by veteran artist William Faith (of Faith and the Muse) and Sarah Rose (aka DJ Scary Lady Sarah), The Bellwether Syndicate
are, as illustrated by their sonic avant-garde debut of combustible, sharp synths, droning dark-indie guitars and a glam-slam beat, coloring outside of prescribed genre lines, choosing here to push the boundaries of style and substance into something beautiful relevant and vital.
Austin, Texas based artist Curse Mackey
is best known as lead singer of industrial supergroup Pigface, notorious Texas Tribal-industrial legends Evil Mothers and as a periodic member of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Mackey has now launched a solo electronic-industrial project that includes new material and revamps of classic Pigface and Evil Mothers songs (including Spider Sex and Car Wrecks). Curse's sound is a future forward homage to the experimental side of industrial music, with doom fueled drones, sinister synth pulsations and dirty-minded beats layered upon hypnotic noise manipulations, scream of conscious lyrical prose and near trance inducing improvisations that evoke the ghosts of Throbbing Gristle, early Skinny Puppy, Lustmord, Coil, and the iconic projects Mackey has been a part of.
