Born in the sewers of Richmond, VA at the turn of the century, Municipal Waste
were born to "spread the shred". Blamed for inciting a small riot during their debut gig on New Year's Eve, the band decided to start touring. In no time their furious, blazing fast and raw thrash (drawn from the DRI, Suicida Tendencies, Corrosion Of Conformity, Nuclear Assault and Attitude Adjustment school) set the country ablaze. Although their dedication to the art of thrash metal is deadly serious, they are not afraid to bring a light and fun atmosphere to hardcore (see: an ep whose songs were all based on Kurt Russell films). Municipal Waste have earned the tag of "party thrash" that has resurrected the spirit of the 80s hardcore scene.
