An Evening of Unexpected Remixes and Mash-ups, featuring students and alumni of the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts.

More than a hundred of the city's most talented young artists will come together for MIXMASH, a bold, experimental, and cutting-edge evening of performance and art benefiting San Francisco's only public arts high school. A visual and auditory explosion, the evening will showcase the wide array of artistic disciplines of at Asawa SOTA, alongside musical legends from Bay Area band Tower of Power.

The focus of the evening will be to celebrate the creative visionaries defining the art of the next generation. Attendees may be surprised at the caliber of emerging talent and how they are pushing the limits of their artistic genres.

MIXMASH will be filled with surprising juxtapositions and inspiring performances, including:

• Live musical performances on the main stage featuring a full band of Asawa SOTA Music Students and Faculty, along with Tower of Power members Dave Garibaldi, Tom Politzer, and Mike Bogart, playing an array of songs by local legends Santana and Tower of Power, and musical icons Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, and more

• Original art show in the upstairs lounge featuring unique mixed media artwork, collage, installations and remixed paintings by Asawa SOTA Visual and Architecture + Design students­

• Video Art Projections by Asawa SOTA Media, Spoken Word Performances by Asawa SOTA Creative Writing, a Fashion Show Preview by the costumers from Asawa SOTA Technical Theater, and a solo dance performance dance legend Elvia Marta, one of the founders of the school and Director of Asawa SOTA Dance for the past 34 years.
