The Swingin' Utters
have been kicking around the Bay Area for 25 years, they have grown and aged on these streets and these experiences have ignited the essence of what goes into their value system and music. After signing to Fat Wreck Chords, the Utters toured extensively and only stopped to raise families for about a decade. After this hiatus, the Utters came back recharged and show no signs of slowing down.
With their latest offering "Poorly Formed", Swingin' Utters continue to shatter expectations and boundaries. They've conquered the "punk" side of the spectrum and have always had a flair for folk and country but with this album, they hone and flex their indie/post-punk/garage-rock skills due partially to One Man Army's Jack Darlymple contributions as a songwriter after officially joining the band. Picture some classic punk rock adrenaline with a dash or Gang Of Four and a pinch of The Strokes, wrapped up tight with catchy melodies and you'll start to get an idea of what is in store for you at their live shows.
