In honor of the 2015 Game Developer's Conference, 8bitSF and Monobomb Records are proud to present POWx4, a celebration of the indie spirit. PA colossal night of sound + vision, featuring performances by some of the best acts in both gaming and chip music as well as demo tables and presentations by indie developers.

We'll also have a selection of free-play games on the floor!

DJ QBert is widely regarded as the most highly skilled skratching DJ that has walked this planet. His long-standing career of innovating the DJ culture has set off a worldwide generation of DJs who are now regarded as musicians and not just DJs that play records, from A-Trak to Craze to C2C to Z-Trip; they would testify to DJ QBert's influence in their sound and successful careers.

As a founding member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, he has been the focus of two major documentary films, Scratch and Hang The DJ, both of which were selected at Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals. DJ QBert's acclaimed first album, Wave Twisters was reverse engineered from sound into visuals also becoming his first feature film, which was also selected into the Sundance Film Festival.

DJ QBert was officially awarded the title America's Best DJ in 2010. With a well-documented and successful DJ career, he is considered as one, if not "The Greatest DJ Of All Time".

Visual artist and musician Minusbaby is a man with many loves and a long history in the world of chiptunes, lo-fi electronic 8-bit inspired musicianship. During his non-rock star hours he goes by the given name of Richard Alexander Caraballo, but once minusbaby hits the stage with his laptop and gear make sure you are ready to get lost in his soundscapes punctuated by surprises and eloquently composed rhythms.

Bit Shifter explores high-impact, low-res music produced using primitive synthesis as a deliberate aesthetic choice. Adopting a distillation of the less-is-more philosophy, Bit Shifter operates with a standard Nintendo Game Boy as a means of exploring the aesthetics of economy, pushing minimal hardware to its maximum. He is also in it for the lolz.

Delorean Overdrive was formed from an obsessive love for 80's movies and analog gear. We used our collection of vintage synths and drum machines to create the soundtrack for a movie that never existed.

As a real-time visuals performer, Parisonic writes custom software to transform hand held game systems such as the Game Boy Advance and the GP2X into visual performance instruments. His visuals are abstract, minimal and influenced by his background and continued interest in mathematics and theoretical physics. As a musician, parisonic has produced reggae the for I&I Sound and Drum&Bass labels, chip music as Sea64, drum & bass with outpt, and currently focuses his attention on live MPC beats and chops in a fusion of dub, jungle, hip-hop and modern funk.

Finnish composer, DKSTR, produces instrumental music somewhere between skweee, chiptune and reggae.
