The band 10 Years is a little hard to google (hell, they've been around for more than ten years, so they probably weren't thinking about being searchable). But this Tennessee five piece are worth finding -- gift your ears with the alternative sound of 10 Years. And tons of people agree, 10 Years has been thriving on energetic crowds who love alternative rock. After a successful first record, the band had a lot to live up to, and a lot of music industry bullshit to live through. Now, years later, they are still making heavy music with an accessible edge. Mixing metal, rock, and old school alt, the band finds its happy place with soaring, aggressive alt.rock tunes complete with Tool-esque vocals, big rhythms, and meaningful lyrics. There's a little something for every alternative fan -- a slight metal influence, screaming, emotional singing, and hella rock. 10 Years can create sad soundscapes that quickly turn into burning rock songs that eviscerate common enemies like ego, hopelessness, vanity, and good intentions. Live, the band swings their dreads, and lets the aggression fly with singer Jesse pouring his talent into the mic. 10 Years can go from low key to pure aggression in about 60 seconds, so be prepared to headbang even during a down tempo song.
