If you're not headed out to the Las Vegas Speedway this weekend for the country's biggest electronic dance music festival, then come on out to Bootie for the next best thing -- it's Electric Bootie Carnival, where resident DJs
A Plus D and
Entyme will be spinning EDM-flavored mashups of EDC artists all night long! We'll have glow necklaces, LED sticks, lasers, and rave toys galore to keep your candy-colored PLUR smiles going and to get you into the spirit of "EBC."
At 11 PM, Cookie Dough presents a special rave edition of the Monster Drag Show, the most demented non-stop drag show in San Francisco! Upstairs there are three rooms filled with more dance music than you can shake a glow-stick at -- in the Loft, Glitterazzi welcomes you to the "Darkside of EDM" for their 3-Year Anniversary party, as DJs
Meikee Magnetic and
Mixtress Shizaam -- plus special guest DJs -- take you on a journey of sight and sound with their brand of EDM, electro, house, mashups and trap. They will be featuring a live performance from
Diamond Dez (who has opened for T-Pain, among others), plus special visuals, a Glitterazzi Photo Booth, and surprises all night! In the Lounge,
DJ MC2 and Paul Goodyear bring the Monster Electro-House Party, while in the Dazzle Room, it's Bump, Twerk, Boom!
DJ Ajax and
DJ Slick D will make you bump, sweat, and grind with bootie-twerking bass! All this, Irina will be doing custom face painting and
Le Petit Hat Company will be on hand with their fashionable little hats!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past nine years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
