The Legendary Pink Dots are a Netherlands-based band formed in 1980. Though distinctly underground, they have been musically influential over the years. Vocalist/songwriter/keyboardist Edward Ka-Spel, along with keyboardist Phil "The Silverman" Knight, are the last two remaining members of the band. Through the years, the lineup has gone through many changes. The most recent lineup includes Erik Drost (guitars) and Raymond Steeg (live sound engineer).

Members of the LPD have collaborated with bands like Nurse With Wound, The Dresden Dolls, Jarboe, HNAS, Jim O'Rourke, and Skinny Puppy's cEvin Key, forming The Tear Garden.

Their sound has been described as an amalgamation of psychedelic rock, industrial, synth-pop, experimental, and avant-garde, and their new album "The Gethsemane Option" is all these things. Though far outside the mainstream (in terms of their music and career path), LPD have released more than 40 albums, have a devoted worldwide following, and tour the world frequently. With such a heavy emphasis on keyboards and sound engineering, a live show could be anything from a spiritual experience to mildly entertaining. For LPD fans, it's sure to be amazing.
