DJing with turntables and CD decks is soooooo 20th century! At 11 PM, Bootie's own "early adopter"
DJ Tripp -- known for always embracing the latest, most cutting-edge DJ technology -- presents an innovative show, where he'll be spinning a set using a gigantic, big-ass, see-through touchscreen -- all from the main stage of DNA Lounge! Also spinning mashups in the Main Room will be Bootie founder and resident DJ Adrian, as well as
Billy Jam, from New York City's esteemed WFMU.
For the Midnight Mashup Show, aerialist
Electric Blue will perform from the rafters above the dance floor, while upstairs in the Lounge, it's Turbo Drive, as DJs
Devon,
Mykill, and Sparkle present a night of retrowave, dreamwave, and neo-electro-pop. It's "the future as the past saw it." Imagine the sounds of Miami Vice meets Blade Runner -- modern artists re-imagining the future the past saw. And finally in the Dazzle Room, Ya Mamma's Basement takes over, where Myster C & Mr. Washington spin the hip-hop and R&B to get you bumpin' and grindin' on the dance floor.
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie Mashup was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past eight years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
