The biggest bootleg mashup party in the world marks its 9-Year Anniversary with a jam-packed evening celebrating the past nine years of mashup culture! Bootie is pulling out all the stops, as its two monthly feature acts battle it out together on two stages. At 11 PM, it's Smash-Up Derby
-vs- Hubba Hubba Revue
! Bootie's own mashup rock band takes the DNA stage, as the Bay Area's best burlesque show graces a smaller stage in the middle of the dance floor ... at the same time! Just like classic burlesque, the striptease performers will be accompanied by a live band. You won't know where to look!
Bootie's creators and resident DJs A Plus D
will be spinning the best mashups from the past nine years to make you dance! And they'll be celebrating with balloons and party hats galore! DJ Tripp
will be joing them, and of course, Bootie's own inflatable pirate mascot, Hookie, will be there ... in fact, there will be nine -- count 'em, Nine -- Hookies bouncing around the club in honor of Bootie's 9th birthday!
For the Midnight Mashup Show, Chrissy & Shredder
of the Vau de Vire Society will be performing an acrobatic plate-spinning circus act, while in the upstairs room, Bootie favorite Squrrrl takes over, as DJs Papa Tony, Bill Dupp, and Trevor Sigler -- along with host Danyol -- present a nutty night of house, electro, and breaks, with plenty of funk in-between. And finally, there will be free custom-mixed 20-track Bootie 9-Year Anniversary CDs for the first 500 people through the door!
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past seven years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
