Hubba Hubba Revue, the Bay Area's best burlesque variety show, continues its monthly Bootie residency with a special 11 PM show. Hosted by emcee
Kingfish, the show will feature titillating performances, as well as featuring SF's go-go sweethearts,
The Devil-Ettes.
In the upstairs room, Bootie Rio comes to San Francisco, as Brazilian DJ Schlaepfer not only takes over the decks, but also gets behind the camera to capture the night for his acclaimed eiro nightlife photography website,
I Hate Flash. Fellow Brazilian DJ
Faroff will be holding down the mashups on the main floor, along with
DJ Fox and
Mad Murdock, while
John!John! joins in on the upstairs action.
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past six years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
