Whether you love Valentine's Day or loathe it, Bootie's Valentine's Party has got something for you! Get ready for some French kisses, as Bootie SF presents one of France's best mashup producers, DJ Reno
. As the creator and resident DJ of Bootie France, DJ Reno's high-energy sets always rock a crowd, as he's proved on tours in both France and the United States.
At 11 PM, Bootie's own house band Smash-Up Derby
takes the stage to play a set of twisted love mashups, while for the Midnight Mashup Show, Elliott from the Vau de Vire Society performs his contortionist act. And in the upstairs room, it's SQURRRL, as DJs Papa Tony, Bill Dupp, and Trevor Sigler -- along with host Danyol -- present a nutty night of house, electro, and breaks, with plenty of funk in-between. Don't forget to wear red!
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D
-- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past six years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
