It's a Homecoming Show for Bootie's founders, DJs Adrian & Mysterious D, aka
A Plus D, who have recently returned from a tour of Southeast Asia, where they brought Bootie to Singapore, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bangkok. This will be the duo's first show back at the DNA Lounge in nearly two months, and they are returning armed with a slew of hot new mashups!
At 11 PM, Bootie's own house band
Smash-Up Derby will take the stage to play a set of live rock mashups. At midnight,
Ginger Rubio Salon presents "The Hunt," a Fall Fashion Trends Hair Show that's 'Boho Meets Barbarian.' And finally, in the upstairs room, DJs
Haute Toddy and
Kraftrmath mash up their respective queer electro-house parties to bring you Hard/SEX!
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past six years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
