While the cult act Kevorkian Death Cycle is still more or less in the fridge, the band's main member Roger Jarvis started a new project, Hex Rx
, with Taury Goforth of Kill Switch. KDC fans will notice instantly the difference of Taury's vocals and that of KDC's Ryan which are playing in two different sonic leagues. On a track like "Dominate" (a feast for the clubear) you are literally thrown the band's vocals straight in your face. Industrial hard rhytms, scissorlike synths and a harsh production make this sound like a KDC on adrenaline, lots of it and in heavy doped portions. Without any doubt Jarvis has with Taury Goforth found a vocalist who can evoke such an atmosphere just by the very gutted way his vocal chords are treated, I guess they inspired Jarvis as well to turn his songs much more straightforward and to the point. Clubfood for the younger and older generation who might also re-discover the KDC legacy.
