14-Sep-2022 (Wed) Wherein Best of the Bay is upon us once more

Bonus DNA Lounge content: did you notice the new logo we stamped into the sidewalk after the sewer work? We intended to sink another steel logo into the concrete like last time, but it had set a bit too much by the time we got there, so instead we have a bas relief. Which also turned out pretty good!

Looks deep enough to do an epoxy pour:

Or sheet metal + clear coat to get the inverse of the old one? First square of the DNA Walk of Fame.

(Side note: copying from the new editor provides text only, so links, embeds and formatting need to be reinserted by hand, much like an animal would.)

Copying from the comment editor text field (before hitting post) copies styles, links and images for me in Safari. Tested by pasting into both Safari and TextEdit.

While we’re on the subject, copying works ok for me on Linux+Firefox but I’ve been meaning to complain that it doesn’t let me paste anything. I haven’t opened the debugger to take a look, but apparently it filters out middle–clicks or something.

Win10 + Firefox, so no doubt you'll drop everything to fix it. Copying straight back in to the editor works, but into any TextEdit-adjacent program results in text only. Any idea what format goes into memory on copy?

Same behaviour on the project's site's demo, so it's not customization-induced.

Oh, that "last time" link.  Back when the only hygiene issue anyone thought about was bare raver asses on the disgusting concrete.  Happy days...
