Wherein I direct your attention toward the calendar.
I noticed a funny thing on the calendar the other day: we've got five consecutive weekends of events I'm actually looking forward to! I don't think that's happened before. Usually there's about one a month that piques my interest. But we've got:
- This weekend:
-
- New Wave City, which is always fun. It's a nostalgia event, and though I like the music, such events make me feel old... but the other side of that coin is that a lot of my friends are old, so this is the only time I see them!
- Next weekend:
-
- Halou, who are one of my favorite bands. We've had them twice before, and they're always great. Get here early!
- The weekend after that:
-
- Affliction, or as I like to call it, Clone Guild (it's Death Guild in a better venue.) followed by...
- Dark Night in Karny Town, a burlesque show, which will probably be along the lines of the performances at our Halloween events, Cabaret Verdalet, and Retrospectacle.
- The weekend after that:
-
- Thump, which is always fun, because it's rare to have an event where A) I like the music, and B) the club is actually full;
then the next night...- Pigface, Thrill Kill Kult, Zeromancer, and Bile, for which I'm just giddy with anticipation, since the previous Pigface and Thrill Kill Kult shows we had were probably the two best shows we've had at DNA yet;
then the next night...- Tarmvred, Iszoloscope, and Exclipsect, who I'm not really familiar with (aside from the few MP3s on their site), but I'm told are good industrial noise acts;
- Thump, which is always fun, because it's rare to have an event where A) I like the music, and B) the club is actually full;
- And the weekend after that:
-
- The second San Francisco Fetish Ball, which was great fun last year.
So how about that! I guess things are shaping up.

Hey, did you know that next month marks the 50th anniversary of the discovery of DNA?
