Unwoman is a San Francisco-based cellist-singer-songwriter. Layered with skillful cello, rich vocals, and electronically arranged beats, her solo music is a futuristic homage to her classical training. She is releasing her second cover album, Lemniscate, and it's amazing!

The club has been featured in Out (which named it one of the top 10 reasons to move to San Francisco), Genre, Instinct, and Paper magazines, has won numerous Best of the Bay awards, and was filmed for an independent feature length documentary entitled "Filthy Gorgeous: The Trannyshack Story".

Big K.R.I.T. is the sole producer of his debut album Live From The Underground which serves as a testament to his multifaceted musical talent and overall artistic vision. "I'm reintroducing a type of sound from the South that a lot of the newer generation doesn't know about and reminding the older generation of what Southern hip-hop used to sound like," explains K.R.I.T., whose stage name is an acronym for King Remembered In Time. "I was influenced by the third coast as far as Texas, Tennessee, and Atlanta so I was really trying to put all those sounds that I grew up listening to together to make a sound for myself."

Comeback Kid

Comeback Kid reunites to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their 2003 release, "Turn It Around". Since the album's release, Comeback Kid has been an undeniable staple of the hardcore community. Each subsequent release has built upon the foundation of its predecessor while continually experimenting with and incorporating new musical elements from beyond the confines of modern hardcore.

Originally formed in 2000 by members of Winnipeg, Canada's underground music scene, Comeback Kid has amassed a catalog of four full-length international releases along with a live CD/DVD. Says vocalist Andrew Neufeld about the band's origins: "We wanted to keep the intensity from our other bands or those we looked up to at the time, but also took influence from '90s skate punk and more melodic acts." He continues: "We wanted the music to be heavy, but the vocals were meant to incorporate a bit more melody than was found in traditional hardcore. Still, I don't think we knew how far we could go with it at the time."

Vernian Process's classical approach to more modern genres such as trip-hop, dark wave, ragtime, and progressive rock creates a sound that just like its literary predecessor, could possibly father a whole new section in record stores. For Pink Saturday, it just might be the gayest mashup party evah, as Bootie SF presents "Lady Gaga vs. Madonna Mashup Night," with four rooms of dancing! Resident DJs A Plus D, as well as house band Smash-Up Derby, will pay tribute to both the current and classic "queens of pop," as they play Gaga and Madge mashups throughout the night! Both divas will be mashed up with anybody and everybody -- no genre, era, or artist is safe! There will also be dueling Midnight Mashup Shows, with Sparkly Devil as Lady Gaga and Camille Tow as Madonna, backed up with fabulous choreography by MJ Paul.

Upstairs, Dcnstrct -- the dirty mind behind clubs Cockfight and Homo Erectus -- returns to the Lounge with DJ Mykill, as the two keep it raunchy with electro-indie-disco-funk. In the Dazzle Room, it's DJ Shyboy's Hip-Hop Pool Party, as Bootie LA's resident DJ and special guest John!John! "make it rain on dem bros!" And as an additional bonus fourth room, Brass Tax takes over the White Room with DJs DingDong, Haute Mess, JoeJoe, and Ernie Trevino bringing their signature delirious sound that continues to tear the roof off of their monthly rager in the Mission!

Tap Turnover

Watch and listen: Goose Island Expansion

The Tap Turnover is a new monthly event at DNA Pizza that will introduce new featured craft beers from different breweries and styles of beers.

Hanger 24 was founded on the love of aviation and sharing craft beer with good friends. We will be showcasing a selection of their award winning beers at this month's Tap Turnover at DNA Pizza. The Selections will include Orange Wheat, an unfiltered wheat ale that uses locally grown oranges throughout the brewing process. Their Alt-Bier Ale, which is a malty caramel flavored German style beer with a toasty finish. Double IPA, a west coast double IPA brewed with orange blossom and honey which has a strong citrus, grapefruit, and hop flavor which makes it great for the hop heads. Chocolate Porter, this strong, dessert-like, full bodied porter brewed with raw cocoa nibs and whole vanilla beans is delicious. From Hangar 24's Local Fields Series we have Palmero, a traditional Belgian style Abbey Dubbel brewed with California dates grown in the Coachella Valley. Hanger 24 representatives will be making presentations about their beer and brewery at 7pm and 8pm. Come in, get your flights, grab a slice and take a seat to learn all about Hangar 24 and these fabulous beers.
