 \n
Tyler Blake and Michael David\, childhood friends\, started a DJ duo in the
suburbs of LA and by their early twenties Classixx began to redefine the
sound for the Los Angeles electronic music scene. Changing it from the
banger-driven electro that had been dominating dance floors\, to their
smooth blend of disco\, new wave\, funk\, house\, and indie rock catching
the ears of music aficionados\, fans and artists alike. Recent remixes for
groundbreaking and diverse artists include Phoenix\, Mayer Hawthorne\,
Fischerspooner\, Groove Armada\, Drop the Lime and Major Lazer made
Classixx \"staples in DJ sets all over the world\". Pitchfork Media wrote
that the duo gave Phoenix's \"Lisztomania\" \"a gorgeously pillowy
synth-disco framework\". The Los Angeles Times called it \"pure disco
  cotton candy\".\n
 \n
Following the release of their debut hit single\, \"I'll Get You\"
featuring Jeppe (Junior Senior)\, in the summer of 2009 on Paris based
Kitsune Records\, Classixx is now prepping their debut album for release
  this winter.\n
 \n
A soundscape of dreamy synths\, emotive vocals\, and tropical disco
grooves\, Goldroom paints the picture of summertime in Los Angeles.
Influenced heavily by French Touch innovators like Alan Braxe and Fred
Falke\, Goldroom has crafted an uniquely Californian take on the genre\,
incorporating live instrumentation and percussion with elements of
downtempo disco to create something more than the sum of its parts.

 \n
While the name Plastic Plates may be new alias of deejay/producer of Felix
Bloxsom\, he's by no means a novice to the music world\, as studio drummer
and session musician he's played and recorded with Empire of the Sun\, The
Presets\, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros\, Sam Sparro\, Christina
Aguilera\, and Jamie Lidell. This Sydney\, Australia wunderkind has seemed
to have appeared out of nowhere with amazing remix productions for the
likes of Adele\, Body Language\, Sia\, & Midnight Juggernauts. With remix
and gig inquiries pouring in left and right just in the last month\, he's
  on his way to stardom.\n
 \n
This night will be part of Eric Sharp's music video shoot and a record
release party all rolled into one. Look out for his official remix on
Dirty Vegas' album (Om Records)\, a bevy of original productions (which
frequently appears on CSI: Miami)\, and a substantial gig schedule around
the nation (including WMC\, SXSW\, & Outside Lands). And expect to see
much more from this young buck in 2012 at BLOW UP.\n
 \n
Tropicool: The man behind the tropical shirt and funky feel good vibes is
David La Melza\; Santa Barbara native\, and good times engineer. He
happens to be a founder of both GottaDanceDirty.com and Mindtai.com. The
genre of his sound has been self described as \"sun-kissed tropical funky
  disco\" and we must oblige.\n

In the upstairs room\, all the way from France\, it's the Bootie SF debut
of French mashup producer Elocnep (nobody can spell his name) who will be
joined by DJ Tyme & Nathan Scot\, as they all spin thumping sets of
banging bootlegs and electro mashups and remixes.\n
 \n
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian &
Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the
burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup
event in the world\, with regular parties in several cities on four
continents. Voted \"Best Club Night\" for the past six years\, Bootie
keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song
combinations\, mixing and matching every musical genre\, era\, and style
into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D.
generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place

This month only\, Mortified is on Thursday instead of Friday!\n
 \n
Join us for the Mortified live filming of the upcoming documentary\,
  Mortified Nation!\n
 \n
We are celebrating 10 years of Mortified by creating a show with the best
and most outlandish acts ever to hit the San Francisco stage! We want to
celebrate our Mortified community and share the experience of our live
  show with the world!\n
 \n
Your laughter and applause (or maybe even more) will appear in the film. We
will be interviewing fans outside the venue\, too.\n
 \n
Come celebrate with us and be a part of this one time only amazing event!
You want want to miss this! Share the shame.\n
 \n
Hailed as a \"cultural phenomenon\" by Newsweek and celebrated for years by
the likes of This American Life\, The Today Show\, The Onion AV Club\, &
Entertainment Weekly\, Mortified is a comic excavation of teen angst
  artifacts (journals\, poems\, letters\, lyrics\, home movies\, schoolwork)
as shared by their original authors -- in front of total strangers\n
 \n
Where else can you hear grown men and women confront their past with
firsthand tales of their first kiss\, first puff\, worst prom\, fights
with mom\, life at bible camp\, worst hand job\, best mall job\, and
reasons they deserved to marry Bon Jovi? Submissions come from a wide
range of participants\, from professional performers to total amateurs .
All in the noble pursuit of self-degradation. Share the shame.\n

Anyhow after that last show ended with the big dance number and we all
learned a little something about friendship\, Everything Goes Cold went
back to their cold\, dark cave to finish a brand-new EP\, \"The Tyrant
Sun.\" Now\, armed to the teeth with evil robots and synthesizers\, San
Francisco's most badass crew of ragtag industrial musicians are back to
save the President\, and to teach you all the true meaning of Labor Day.\n
 \n
Now at nineteen years\, Death Guild is the oldest weekly goth/industrial
dance night in the country\, and the second oldest in the world! Every
Monday\, six DJs in two rooms play a mix of gothic\, industrial\,
synthpop\, noise\, ambient\, and weird stuff for those who love the darker
  side of things.\n

Industrial music's most contentious enfant terrible hits San Francisco for
the first time ever. Hamburg's Faderhead has brought wave after wave of
controversy to the industrial scene with a string of inescapable\, catchy
dance hits like 2007's brodustrial anthem \"Dirtygrrrls/Dirtybois\" and
2008's \"TZDV.\" Still fresh from 2011's blockbuster US tour with
Aesthetic Perfection and Everything Goes Cold plus a handful of headlining
spots at festivals including Leipzig's famed Wave Gotik Treffen\,
Faderhead - joined by the ubiquitous Marco Visconti (XP8/VNV
Nation/Grendel) on keyboards - will undoubtedly put on one of the most
  talked-about shows of the year.\n

Mortified is a comic excavation of adolescent writing\, art & media. PS: It
  totally likes you.\n

Formed in 1994\, Chemnitz-based band Accessory has become a solid name in
the German Electro scene. With its excessive live shows and massive
sound\, the group and its singer and mastermind Dirk Steyer quickly
amassed a world wide fan base.\n
 \n
The group categorizes its massive sound \"modern EBM\" ... but is fast to
point out that their sound is quite unique\, compared to the rest of the
scene. \"We do believe to sport a healthy bit of extravagance\"\, says
Dirk... and right he is\, as Accessory have a very modern\, unique and
fresh musical approach: a sonic steam hammer that shakes club floor and
home stereo system alike and provides a healthy stimulus to the dancing
nerves. The album titles can be seen as a sort of hommage to the Old
School of EBM\, but Accessory sound as far from old-fashioned as you can
go: a thudding prototype of a modern breed of Electronic Body Music for
  the new Millennium!\n

Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian &
Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the
burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup
event in the world\, with regular parties in several cities on four
continents. Voted \"Best Club Night\" for the past six years\, Bootie
keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song
combinations\, mixing and matching every musical genre\, era\, and style
into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D.
generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place
  where everyone is welcome.\n
