It's the annual Bootie SF Holiday Party, where we celebrate the yuletide season, mashup-style! Wear a Santa hat and get the brand-new "A Very Bootie Christmas 3" CD. Resident DJs
A Plus D will be sprinkling in holiday mashups throughout the night, while at 11 PM, Bootie's own house mashup band
Smash-Up Derby will take the stage to play a holiday-themed set. And for the Midnight Mashup Show, it's the return of the chaotic holiday madness that is "The Smutcracker."
Upstairs, Bootie has two parties that take the music seriously, but not themselves. In the new Above DNA space, Brass Tax returns with DJs Dingdong, Haute Mess, and Mace bringing the signature delirious, sublime sound that continues to tear the roof off at their monthy rager in the Mission. And in the Lounge, it's Squrrrl, as DJs Papa Tony, Trevor Sigler, and Joe Pickett -- along with host Danyol -- present a nutty night of house, electro, and breaks, with plenty of funk in-between.
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past seven years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- and free mashup CDs given away like candy -- it's a place where everyone is welcome.
