The most idiosyncratic personality in rap and possessor of its most recognizable delivery, a halting, ragga-inspired style with incredible complexity, inventiveness, and humor, Busta Rhymes formed Leaders of the New School in 1990 and released two albums with the group before breaking out with a 1996 solo hit single, "Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check."

Busta's first album, The Coming, proved a huge hit; the single "Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check" hit the Top Ten and pushed the album into gold-record territory. His second album, When Disaster Strikes, debuted at number three in September 1997. Extinction Level Event followed a year later, and in mid-2000, Busta released Anarchy while appearing on the silver screen in a remake of the blaxploitation classic Shaft. 2002's It Ain't Safe No More and 2006's Aftermath-released The Big Bang followed.

X Sample is a Jamaican born artist/lyricist. He writes and performs roots, rock, reggae, dancehall and alternative music with a strong performance delivery capturing the attention of varied audiences. Germany's legendary darkwave luminaries Project Pitchfork have touched only briefly on US soil in their near-20 year existence, but their impact has been felt in every corner of the industrial and gothic music worlds. Oft imitated, their vibrant yet haunting sound carries messages of thoughtfulness and hope through Peter Spilles' unique guttural voice. Their fourteenth and newest album, "Dream, Tiresias!, was followed by this year's release of the second full-length Spilles' eclectic and unusual side-project, Santa Hates You.

Toronto's Ayria return to SF following a long run of tours throughout the world supporting the scene's biggest acts. Jennifer Parkin's current album, "Hearts For Bullets", is her most compelling yet, mixing the best elements of pop, electronica, and industrial music in to an energetic and catchy collection.

Unter Null have run the gamut of industrial and electronic music, from powernoise to terror EBM to acoustic-tinged triphop. Erica Dunham's long-running project has returned this year with "Moving On", her first full album in five years, and a drastic departure from her earlier work. This performance will mark SF's first opportunity to see Unter Null with a full band of live musicians, bringing a new dynamic to her entire repertoire.

Cyanotic are perhaps the most influential industrial rock band of the decade. A series of tours with coldwave's greatest progenitors has brought them national acclaim with the old-school crowd, and their remix work and a series of compilations under the Glitchmode moniker have brought them to the forefront of today's Industrial scene as well. Their long-awaited second full-length, "The Medication Generation", features production by Jamie Duffy of Acumen Nation and DJ? Acucrack, as well as the band's signature blistering guitars, glitched-out beats and grinding vocals.

For three years, Bootie SF has been live webcasting its DJ sets from DNA Lounge to the virtual world of Second Life, where Bootie SL takes place at Club Republik, one of SL's longest-running "virtual nightclubs." But tonight, Bootie Second Life comes to Real Life, as the party at Club Republik gets projected on the DNA Lounge's big video screens. Bootie SL's Keela Latte hosts.

Bootie house band Smash-Up Derby hits the stage at 11 PM, while drag singer Honey Mahogany belts out some Amy Winehouse for the live Midnight Mashup Show. And in the upstairs room, DNA Lounge's long-running club Meat takes over, serving up hearty, sliced-and-diced versions of their aggressive industrial, electro, and EBM sounds. Be prepared to take it a little harder on the dance floor, as they put some Meat in your Bootie!

Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by DJs Adrian & Mysterious D, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, Bootie mixes and matches every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation... and free mashup CDs, given away like candy!

One of the most intense and technical of the contemporary death metal bands, Origin has returned to stake their claim as the leaders of metal's new wave of extremity. Antithesis explodes out of the box at breakneck speed, with guitars and bass shredding wildly behind a beastly 3-vocal attack, slowing only for the virtuosic soloing. Faster, heavier, and decidedly more advanced than anyone could have ever envisioned the genre becoming, Antithesis is a modern day death metal classic, which proves Origin stand head and shoulders above their peers. New edition to the group, local boy Mica Meneke of Sol Asunder, will be taking on the role as lead vocalist.

Trannyshack continues its series of superstar tribute nights with a salute to one of the strongest, most compelling female rock performers of all time... Siouxsie Sioux!

After making a name for herself as a central figure in the U.K. Punk Movement of the late 1970s, Siouxsie (with the Banshees) made her musical mark with post-punk masterpieces such as Christine, Happy House, Israel, Arabian Nights, and Cities in Dust. Inspiring countless young girls and boys to express their darker side, Siouxsie herself became a style icon with her signature gothic make-up and spiky black hair. As a result of her uncompromising attitude, other-wordly lyrics, and unique persona, Siouxsie is truly one in a million, and a true Trannyshack icon.
