1984: Norway, suicide, church burnings, murder, curse, evil, black metal, originators, godfathers, infamous, desecration, arrest, drugs, ugly, necro, hell, blasphemy and Hungarian demons. Despite numerous line-up changes due to circumstances mentioned above, the essence of darkness is present and has never been stronger.

Norwegian black metallers Mayhem will celebrate their 25th anniversary by teaming up with some of the strongest extreme metal acts for a tour of North America in May and June, dubbed the Blackenedfest!

Every once in a while, an artist comes along who changes everything.

Producing something completely new and meaningful, this person fills a void within the fabric of our culture -- a hole we didn't even know was there. Past generations have laid claim to this type of iconoclast -- Liszt, Warhol and Coltrane are among the artistic beacons of years gone by. Today another joins there number -- an innovator, musical revolutionary and unmatched performer: ELEW, aka Eric Robert Lewis.

New Wave City is the first & foremost 80s dance party, devoted to the best in alternative dance music from the New Wave era of the late 70s and early 80s. Each event features a tribute to one of the seminal acts of the period. You'll hear songs from the featured artist throughout the evening as well as the rest of the best of New Wave.

Visuals from Altered Images include vintage video, 80s movies and TV, slide shows of 80s icons, posters and club flyers from 1979-1984, and original concert photos.

Each battle will consist of approximately 8 bands, each playing a 30 minute set.

The winner of each show will advance to the finals. The winner of the finals will receive $500 in cash, 20 hours of studio time, a submission to one of the following labels: Warner Bros., Rotten, Geffen, Prosthetic, Metal Blade, Universal, or Columbia. The band will also receive a headlining gig at the featured concert club.

Judging will be based on audience response/applause at the end of the show. Note: The more people you bring, the better your chances of winning. Don't forget to tell your fans to stick around until the end of the show.

Upstairs, it's the Madonna Mashup Room, where DJs Adrian, Boyshapedbox, and Shyboy will all Madonna mashups, all night! And for the Midnight Mashup Show, John!John! & the Bootie Bumps wonder "Who's Got The Crack?"
