"Formerly compared with bands like Frontline Assembly, Wumpscut or Leaether Strip, they now represent a style of music that influences many young artists in their musical development. With their distinctive mixture of abrasive electronic beats and tuneful, hymnal refrains they always show anew that the name stands for itself.

"A distinctive theme is present in the band's work and stage presence; both their musicianship and their costuming are strongly reminiscent of military music and dress. This military aesthetic is also popular with the band's fanbase. However, the political stance of Funker Vogt is decidedly anti-war; the band cites "war and social injustice" as their primary topics of discussion, noting that the goal of the album Execution Tracks, along with the accompanying video, was to 'present the grotesque cruelties and the tragedy of war.'"

They battle it out in an abattoir-themed environment with costumed blood-splattered go-go dancers, video, and free fresh BBQ meat. New Wave City is the first & foremost 80s dance party, devoted to the best in alternative dance music from the New Wave era of the late 70s and early 80s. Each event features a tribute to one of the seminal acts of the period. You'll hear songs from the featured artist throughout the evening as well as the rest of the best of New Wave.

The stronghold of Babyland's existence has always been intense live performances which confront audiences with an honest celebration of extreme energy, harsh sonic and visual elements, and experimental destruction. Tonight, Bootie Munich comes to San Francisco! As the resident DJs of Bootie's outpost in Germany, Bavarian DJ BootOX and Austrian DJ Schmolli definitely know how to bring the party! Frank the Tank will be joining them as part of the Munich Mashup Massacre, which will feature Princess Kennedy as a hofbra honey, in what promises to be one of the most bizarre Midnight Mashup Shows ever! Tonight, to celebrate both his birthday and the kick-off for his Bootie World Tour, DJ Tripp -- our favorite bootlegger from Santa Cruz -- will be doing a special video mashup set at midnight. House band Smash-Up Derby will even be doing a live version of a DJ Tripp mashup! In the upstairs room, DJ Matt Hite will be our special guest at Electro-Bootie, our monthly "club-within-a-club" featuring electro bootlegs, remixes, and covers. For the Midnight Mashup Show, Keri Hanna will be making her Bootie stage debut. And finally, at midnight we'll be giving away our exclusive, official mashup CD, "Bootie Mashes Up Lady GaGa." Each battle will consist of approximately 8 bands, each playing a 30 minute set.

The winner of each show will advance to the finals. The winner of the finals will receive $500 in cash, 20 hours of studio time, a submission to one of the following labels: Warner Bros., Rotten, Geffen, Prosthetic, Metal Blade, Universal, or Columbia. The band will also receive a headlining gig at the featured concert club.

Judging will be based on audience response/applause at the end of the show. Note: The more people you bring, the better your chances of winning. Don't forget to tell your fans to stick around until the end of the show.
