Meat represents more than seven years of stompy dance music and tasty BBQ. Death Guild is one of the longest running goth/industrial clubs in the world, clocking in at more than fifteen years. Tonight, Bootie presents a showcase set from one of our favorite up-and-coming mashup producers, San Francisco's very own DJ Fox. We love homegrown talent! At 11 PM, Bootie's house band, Smash-Up Derby, makes its triumphant return from Beijing, China, where the band played several shows as part of Bootie Beijing. Also returning from China will be resident DJs and Bootie creators A+D. In the upstairs lounge, DJ Travis D will be previewing the upcoming Bootie Chicago party, and he'll be joined by DJ Boyshapedbox. For the Midnight Mashup Show, it'll be the Bootie debut of Violet Death. Also at midnight, we'll be giving away free CDs of the recently-released "Ziggy Stardust Remixed" album.

Launched in 2003, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in six cities on two continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!

Resident DJs Adrian, the Mysterious D and Dada keep your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, celebrating -- and satirizing -- the many different forms of music. Live Bootie mashup band Smash-Up Derby rocks the house at 11 PM. Guest mashup DJs from around the world are featured, and the infamous midnight mashup show showcases popular local drag and burlesque performers.

"Best Body Slams: The folks at Fog City Wrestling want you to watch a luchador slam a Tom Cruise impersonator into the floor. They want you to see a Samoan take-down team (combined weight: 1,100 pounds) take on the "Reno Punks" in a swirling, convoluted drama of independent pro-wrasslin'. Sweaty, in-your-face, "maybe knock you over if you're in the front row" wrestling has come back to San Francisco after what promoters Caesar Black and Steve Armani claim has been a 30-year absence. Fog City's shows are packed with so many acts, highlights, and subplots that things get raucously confusing. With a full-size ring and professional sound and lights, it brings a high level of showmanship with a big ol' plate of athleticism on the side. Wrestlers like Rikishi, the Mexican Werewolf, and Mister Primetime pull big-show moves -- flying back flips, body slams, and pile drivers -- just like them whut you see on the tee-vee." -- SF Bay Guardian
