Midnight mashup show by Dam Dyke, Dean Disaster, & Emily Estranged performing "Closer To Mario"

Free mashup CDs to the first 100 people through the door!

Tonight, the world's FIRST bootleg mashup club meets the world's BIGGEST bootleg mashup club! From London, Bootie is proud to present Cartel Communique, the duo who created Bastard, the first club night in the world dedicated solely to sampled material and "bootlegs" (as mashups are called in the U.K.). They'll be spinning a showcase set on the main floor, as well as taking over the upstairs room. And for the midnight mashup show, Dam Dyke, Dean Disaster, and Emily Estranged return with an encore performance of their epic Super Mario Bros. vs. Nine Inch Nails performance, "Closer To Mario."

Launched in 2003, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in six cities on two continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!

Resident DJs Adrian, the Mysterious D, Party Ben, and Dada keep your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, celebrating -- and satirizing -- the many different forms of music. Guest mashup DJs from around the world are featured, and the infamous midnight mashup show showcases popular local drag and burlesque performers.

A benefit for Omeid International. All the money raised at the door is earmarked to build an orphanage for Afghan children displaced by war.

Omeid International is a 501 c3 public charity human rights based organization operating in the East Bay and in Kabul, Afghanistan. Our mission is to restore hope to the lives of Afghanistan's children of war; by removing them from a state of anguish, isolation and persecution, toward a future of hope, opportunity and justice inherent to our most primitive human rights.

Wars and other conflicts, regardless of their political meaning or benefit always leave in their wake a devastating trail of destitution and hopelessness, especially for children. These kids have no politics. They have neither desire for property, prestige or domination over others; rather simply they struggle only to survive to see another day. Every day, these kids face the dangers of hunger and disease along with the constant threats endemic to failed state sin the third world, including extremists, human and opium traffickers and other such predators who prey on these helpless children.

Also on the bill, it's the Bootie debut of DJ Zax, playing a special late-night set. In the upstairs room, Mad Murdock will be our guest DJ at Electro-Bootie, our monthly "club-within-a-club" showcasing electro bootlegs, remixes, and covers. And for the midnight mashup show, it's the return of The Cheese Puffs, the world's first Richard Cheese-inspired burlesque troupe.

With DJs:

Unit 77 (Attackhaus)
Joe Radio (Death Guild)

Electro-berzerkers Spetsnaz were formed in Sweden in 2001. With the powerful vocals, frenetic pounding bass lines and relentless rhythmic assault, Spetsnaz have the aggression and the melody to be the missing link between the heavy scene and the pop scene.

Inspired by pioneering acts like DAF, Front 242, Die Krupps and Nitzer Ebb, the duo's on-stage presence is as intense and energetic as the music with Pontus moving all over the stage, screaming at the top of his lungs, and Stefan fiercely beating his drum pads.

Each beat and each note fits tightly in its place, the rhythms lashes out brutally at you and the sequencers seem to be pushing you forward with loud shouts of "Go! Go!".

Inspired by numerous years of DJing, Nachtmahr is the missing link between merciless and provocative Industrial and the hammering power of Techno. The first release Kunst ist Krieg (Art Is War) and its club hit BoomBoomBoom instantly conquer the dancefloors and earn the band a slot on the soundtrack of the American block-buster movie SAW 4.

With the release of the full-length album Feuer Frei! the success of the EP was exceeded by far: Germany's biggest and most influential dark music magazine Orkus quoted: "This is the new standard for the electro industrial genre".
