Each event features a tribute to one of the seminal acts of the period. You'll hear songs from the featured artist throughout the evening as well as the rest of the best of New Wave.

This monthly women's event takes place every 1st Friday of the month with resident DJs Kathy Valenti and Carlitos spinning the sweetest Hip Hop, Old School, Latin, and Pop music. Sexy Cream Dancers and lots of free CD giveaways are sure to have the energy pumping at this all girl party. Tonight, the world's FIRST bootleg mashup club meets the world's BIGGEST bootleg mashup club! From London, Bootie is proud to present Cartel Communique, the duo who created Bastard, the first club night in the world dedicated solely to sampled material and "bootlegs" (as mashups are called in the U.K.). They'll be spinning a showcase set on the main floor, as well as taking over the upstairs room. And for the midnight mashup show, Dam Dyke, Dean Disaster, and Emily Estranged return with an encore performance of their epic Super Mario Bros. vs. Nine Inch Nails performance, "Closer To Mario."

These kids have no politics. They have neither desire for property, prestige or domination over others; rather simply they struggle only to survive to see another day. Every day, these kids face the dangers of hunger and disease along with the constant threats endemic to failed state sin the third world, including extremists, human and opium traffickers and other such predators who prey on these helpless children.

There will be no planned set list -- you call out any mashup in their extensive repertoire, and the band will play it! Also on the bill, it's the Bootie debut of DJ Zax, playing a special late-night set. In the upstairs room, Mad Murdock will be our guest DJ at Electro-Bootie, our monthly "club-within-a-club" showcasing electro bootlegs, remixes, and covers. And for the midnight mashup show, it's the return of The Cheese Puffs, the world's first Richard Cheese-inspired burlesque troupe.

The live show is a multi-media event featuring interactive video, live mural painting, and costume changing improv theatrical comedians that dance and interact with the audience all set to the amazing music of Helios Jive. Their debut album 'Heliosentric' was awarded 'Best Independent Jazz Album' at the L.A. Music Awards '05. Sultry Latin vocalist Fernanda Karolys joined the band 2 years ago adding another dimension with her unique voice to the already smoking sound of Helios Jive.
