Visuals from Altered Images include vintage video, 80s movies and TV, slide shows of 80s icons, posters and club flyers from 1979-1984, and original concert photos.

The winner of each show will advance to the finals. The winner of the finals will receive $500 in cash, 20 hours of studio time, a submission to one of the following labels: Warner Bros., Rotten, Geffen, Prosthetic, Metal Blade, Universal, or Columbia. The band will also receive a headlining gig at the featured concert club.

Judging will be based on audience response/applause at the end of the show. Note: The more people you bring, the better your chances of winning. Don't forget to tell your fans to stick around until the end of the show.

At 11PM, Bootie house band Smash-Up Derby presents "Smells Like Mashups 101: A Bastard Pop History Lesson," as the band traces the chronology of the scene's most landmark tracks, from 2002's seminal "A Stroke of Genie-us" to the multiple mashed-up versions of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Also spinning will be DJs Party Ben, Malderor, and Dada, and the upstairs "Covers Lounge" will feature cover songs all night, with DJs Earworm and Throat Yogurt.

Hubba Hubba Revue's Murder-Lovin', Chainsaw-Totin', No-Account Country-Cousins, Creepshow Peepshow, are back for another spine-chilling night of terror-riffic burlesque, killer comedy, and all the fun you can have locked-up in a backwoods insane-asylum swarming with bloodthirsty freaks!

"The San Francisco Drag King Contest is a mash-up of the Miss America Pageant, American Idol, Halloween and a Monster Truck Show," states impresario Fudgie Frottage. "We have every kind of drag from suits to fruits; studs to puds -- Everything from Elvis impersonators to Leather Daddies, Wrestlers, Contortionists, Hillbillies, Clowns, Jocks, and their female counterparts. It's a mind-boggling, dress-to-impress occasion, where part of the fun is just trying tell the performers and audience members apart."

Omar has worked with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Angie Stone, Common, Erykah Badu and Estelle, among others. He has been making music for more than 21 years. He has been the darling of soul lovers since the start of a successful 16 year recording career, and received rave reviews for his latest album, Sing (If You Want It).

Also performing is West African hip-hop artist Tabi Bonney, son of Afro-funk superstar Itadi Bonney. Tabi's musical genes, mixed heritage, and unique upbringing (he was born in West Africa and raised in Washington, D.C.) have aided him in creating a distinctive brand of hip-hop. He also directed and recorded with R&B artist Raheem Devaughn.

In the early part of his career, Quik scored big with singles Tonight, Born and Raised in Compton, Way 2 Fonky and Let's Get Down (collaborating with Bay Area R&B luminaries Tony, Toni, Tone on the latter). He has produced tracks for some of hip hop's greatest icons, from Tupac and Snoop Dogg to Talib Kweli and Jay-Z, and he has earned a slew of Billboard Music Awards in the process. He drew his inspiration heavily from soul and funk, including Roger Troutman of Zapp and ultimate funkateer, George Clinton.

Headling the main room is world class DJ Pete "Jester" Savas. Pete famously brought the house down at Real Bad XVIII, playing for 9 hours in front of 2800+ people. In 2008 he played for the infamous WoofClub in LA and at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

Upstairs, DJs Rotten Robbie and resident DJ Boyshapedbox spin inside the Bearracuda lounge. DJ Rotten Robbie has been spinning for the past 20 years, sharing the stage with such acts as Village People, Sister Sledge, RuPaul, Martha Wash, Thelma Houston, Dionne Warwick and many more.

Those of you who've been in the past know; those who don't: This Is The One. 24 MCs and 24 DJs perform live on stage, reppin' for 24 Years On Air. This event is Free, all ages, and outdoors in Phoenix Meadow at Golden Gate Park from 1-5 PM. With an afterparty from 10PM -2AM at the DNA Lounge; it's the cure for what ails ya.
