Free Five Year Anniversary CDs to the first 500 people through the door!

To celebrate Bootie's Fifth Anniversary, Adrian & the Mysterious D present "Revenge Of The A+D Show," a sequel to last year's epic multimedia mashup extravaganza, which features their own mashups in a stage show combining mashup videos, live performances, go-go dancers, an audience sing-along, and even a live Guitar Hero mashup duel. The performers in the show are a veritable "who's who" from the SF underground, and also includes numbers from two dance troupes, SF Boylesque and Funk4Soul.

At 11PM, Bootie house band Smash-Up Derby presents "Smells Like Mashups 101: A Bastard Pop History Lesson," as the band traces the chronology of the scene's most landmark tracks, from 2002's seminal "A Stroke of Genie-us" to the multiple mashed-up versions of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Also spinning will be DJs Party Ben, Malderor, and Dada, and the upstairs "Covers Lounge" will feature cover songs all night, with DJs Earworm and Throat Yogurt.

Launched in 2003, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in seven cities on two continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!

Resident DJs Adrian, the Mysterious D, and Dada keep your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, celebrating -- and satirizing -- the many different forms of music. Guest mashup DJs from around the world are featured, and the infamous midnight mashup show showcases popular local drag and burlesque performers.

Katchafire music is mostly reggae mixed with traditional Maori music of New Zealand. The eight-piece touring band plays to sell-out crowds across their county. Their debut album, "Revival" went double platinum with the biggest selling single of 2002: "Giddy-up".

Their sound is very reminiscent of the great reggae band Third World and to a lesser extent Aswad and Steel Pulse. Their performances at home often morph into sing-a-long affairs.

During their first seven years, System Syn self-released five full-length albums and three EPs, remixed over fifteen top electronic artists, appeared on seven different compilations, and contributed to a motion picture soundtrack. On top of all of their studio work, the band was also building a reputation for themselves as a powerful live act.

Aimed at the heart of the dancefloor, XP-8's music keeps listeners moving through the night in timeless waves, emitting subtle hints of the 1980s while slipping easily into sounds of the new millennium: glitchy patterns, sharp simulated strings, and clear vocals travel through bright sequences and brooding atmospheres.

It's the arrival of British soul icon Omar! In the 1990s, before Amy Winehouse, Estelle and Adele redefined the British neo-soul sound, Omar brought England's R&B stateside and built a loyal and dedicated following. Now, after the British soul resurgence, Omar comes to the US to remind fans where the movement began.

Omar has worked with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Angie Stone, Common, Erykah Badu and Estelle, among others. He has been making music for more than 21 years. He has been the darling of soul lovers since the start of a successful 16 year recording career, and received rave reviews for his latest album, Sing (If You Want It).

Also performing is West African hip-hop artist Tabi Bonney, son of Afro-funk superstar Itadi Bonney. Tabi's musical genes, mixed heritage, and unique upbringing (he was born in West Africa and raised in Washington, D.C.) have aided him in creating a distinctive brand of hip-hop. He also directed and recorded with R&B artist Raheem Devaughn.

Turntablism is sooooo 20th century! Tonight, it's all about "controllerism," the new digital DJ style that uses technology as a musical instrument, using hacked controllers and software to manipulate music live and on the fly. New York City's Moldover has been at the vanguard of this emerging cutting-edge DJ technology, and will be doing a showcase set on stage -- complete with live video -- so the audience can watch how the music is being controlled and manipulated. In the upstairs room, Electro-Bootie returns with electro bootlegs and remixes courtesy of DJs Party Ben and Mykill from Call In Sick! And Suppositori Spelling performs the midnight mashup show.

More Misfits than the Misfits! In the fallen remains of the resurrected Misfits rose a project that would find its origins through the vision of guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein. Doyle, the hulking Misfits axeman, with his unmistakable presence and notorious guitar sound began to write songs that would most recently become recorded and released under the name Gorgeous Frankenstein. The name was decided upon as a way to combine both Doyle and wife Stephanie Bellars (Gorgeous George of WC...wrestling fame) names into one conceptual theme. Also joining the band are Dr. Chud (Misfits drummer 1995-2000) and Argyle Goolsby of Blitzkid on vocals and bass. Glenn Danzig produced and released the songs on his label Evillive. Glenn has played a major role in the development of the band in the sense that he has overseen and guided the efforts from the very beginning.
