Substantial (QN5 Music)
Mr. E (Da Joint / Papalote)
CunninLynguists, a trio, made up of a preacher's son, a Caucasian guy from rural Georgia and a convicted felon, bring a piquant flavor that meshes gruff vocals, with soulful hooks and genre stretching bombastic grooves that defy definition. "Since 2001, the CunninLynguists have been redefining the sound of Southern hip-hop," says XLR8R magazine. Firmly entrenched in the pioneering legacy of Goodie Mob's Soulfood and Oukast's ATLians, CunninLynguists leap out of the congested crowd of today's Southern rap. Life and death, racism, relationships, religion, strife and striving are topics touched on by rappers, Deacon the Villain, Natti and Kno. Holding their own in collaborations with Cee-lo, Immortal Technique and Devin the Dude put the CunniLynguists among respected company.

This is an eventful evening focused on the hidden worlds, bringing them out of the woodwork, to join together and bring untold stories to life. It is about skills that are overlooked and uncredited. The ones that become lost art, they come from intensive practice and the passion that helps sustain a balanced living in these contrived times. This fashion is art varying from old lore on a continuum of industrious futurism, in a wearable form. It brings to life characters, creatures and creations of another time, another place and another world that has become misunderstood through fear of the shadows in time.

Midnight mashup show by Miss Nix

Free mashup CDs to the first 100 people through the door!
Launched in 2003, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in seven cities on two continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!

Resident DJs Adrian, the Mysterious D, and Party Ben keep your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, celebrating -- and satirizing -- the many different forms of music. Guest mashup DJs from around the world are featured, and the infamous midnight mashup show showcases popular local drag and burlesque performers.

Flying back tonight from their European tour, A Plus D - aka DJs Adrian & the Mysterious D -- return to the club they founded, with a special DJ set at midnight. Bootie house band Smash-Up Derby will hit the stage at 11 pm with a set of live rock mashups. In the upstairs room, party like it's Friday night at The Stud back in 2004 -- it's the return of club Guilty, with guest DJs Suppositori Spelling and Mr. Anthony. And for the midnight mashup show, Miss Nix reenacts the title song from the movie "Xanadu."

Costume Theme: Circus Military Couture!
A raucous, saucy indie circus orgy of the lustiest caliber! Titillating circus acts, tantilizing live bands & djs!

Ain't no better way to welcome back SF's original indie circus extravaganza than with an homage to a true SF original... Extra Action Marching Band in it's full glory. "Powerful and empowering, the Extra Action Marching Band seduces the pre-civilized will. They are immediate and visceral -- more of a sweaty invitation than a show. They are a parody of idioms with shattering volume -- guerrilla theater with the rug rolled up. As the sound boils into a spinning crossfire, sweat and flying hair tangle in a delicious knot. Audience and band submit together, to each other, to the whim and fancy, to satisfaction. Irresistible."

...and to add to the debauched goodness, BC welcomes our good pals and beautiful buffoons Fou Fou Ha!, the shoot'em-up circus stylings of Cowboy Girl and the SF debut of pole-dancing phenom from Portland, Blaze. For your booty-shakin' pleasures, resident DJs Coop & Audilew share the tables with frequent resident Smoove and BC virgin Tamo. And of course your hosts Gooferman and the whole Vau de Vire family on hand to titillate your fancy and lead you down a path of irreversible bliss... Spectators beware, this here's an interactive affair!

Plus our all-new FotoExpo, featuring the inimitable (and purchasable) work of the Bohemian Carnival photographer pool.
