Facilities

DNA Lounge is actually two side-by-side venues which can be operated separately; or as a single giant club consisting of five rooms, two stages, four dance floors with independent sound systems, seven full bars, plus our attached full-service pizza restaurant and cafe.

For live shows, the capacity of the main room is around 800, and the smaller room is around 300.

The club's main room is 3,000 square feet, with a stage at one end and a full bar at the other, with a wall-to-wall dance floor in between. Benches and cocktail tables line the walls downstairs. There is also a smaller high-end bar serving specialty cocktails. Large restrooms are positioned to either side of the stage.

Above this, a three-sided balcony looks down on the main room, affording great views of both the stage and dance floor. The balcony level has its own full bar, plus additional tables and intimate corner booths. The main stage is flanked by two staircases leading up to the balcony, and a third stairway is at the front of the building. Coat check is located on the balcony level.

The main DJ booth, live sound mixing console, and lighting station are located on a catwalk hanging slightly below the balcony, opposite the stage.

On the second floor, behind the stage, is a large lounge consisting of two rooms, a dance floor, lots of seating, and a full bar. The lounge is equipped with a DJ rig and sound system, allowing for two unique dance music experiences within the main club.

Our next performance space, which we refer to as "Above DNA", has its own entrance to the street as well as a connecting door to the DNA Lounge main room, and thus can be operated either as its own 300-capacity venue, or as a continuation of the festivities in the main room. It's on the second floor, upstairs from our restaurant.

Above DNA's front room is 1,200 square feet with a live sound system and a full bar. There is also a cozy back room, which we refer to as the "Dazzle Room" (after it's stripey paint job), which is around 600 square feet and comes equipped with its own full bar and DJ sound system.

The main room is roughly 50'×60'. The central dance floor is about 30'×35', and the stage is around 18'×15' and 51" high, plus space at the back for a drum riser.

The lounge rooms are roughly 30'×40' and 10'×15', respectively, with the dance floor being around 15'×25'.

Above DNA is 25'×50' with a 12'×10' stage, and the Dazzle Room is roughly 30'×20'.

The images to the right should give you a decent idea of the layout of the building. More specific measurements can be found on our stage plot.

Our in-house sound system consists of primarily EAW speakers driven by a BSS Sound Web and Soundcraft Si Expression 3 & Spirit 8 mixing consoles. Details can be found on the sound system specifications page.

Lighting is provided by a number of High End fixtures, LED Pars, and a ChamSys MagicQ Maxi Wing console. Details are on the lighting specifications page.

Free wifi is available throughout the club and restaurant. It's fast, and high capacity. Technical details are on the lighting page.
